DESIGNED WITH CARE: INVITATION TO ATTEND A SEMINAR
ON WEDNESDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER 2006, IN THE LIGHTHOUSE, GLASGOW
Architecture and Design Scotland is delighted to support its partner
organisation - CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment)
- in a new campaign, Designed with Care.
The aim of Designed with Care is to increase awareness of the importance of design
quality in neighbourhood healthcare buildings and to inspire and influence
all those involved in creating new health facilities.
The campaign includes a series of five day-long seminars across the UK to explore
lessons learnt from exemplary health facilities. Bookings are now being
taken for the Scottish event, which is taking place in The Lighthouse
(Glasgow) on Wednesday 13th September 2006.
The event will be chaired by Architecture and Design Scotland and feature contributions
from David Page (of Page and Park - architects of the Maggie's Centres
in Inverness and Glasgow) and Jane Hamblin (Practice Manager at St
Ozwald's Children's Hospice, Newcastle). Delegates will have the opportunity
to tour the Maggie's Centre Glasgow with its Chief Executive Laura
Lee.
Should you wish to attend the Designed with Care seminar, you will need to pre-register
your interest. You can book online at www.cabe.org.uk.
